MUZ MONSTER SQUATS 340KG'S!!!!!
Yesterday Bhekumuzi Maluleke a 212 IFBB Bodybuilding Pro posted a video of himself squatting 340kg's (748lbs).The is is impressive considering that fact that the "Muz Monster" weighs less than 100kgs.
Bodybuilders are not known for such heavy lifts and there are various contributing factors, the three main ones being:
1. Bodybuilding is about mind muscle connection as opposed to weightlifting which is just about lifting as much weight as possible.
2. Bodybuilders tend to carry less fat (even during offseason) and overall weight than the majority of strongman competitors.
3. Bodybuilder eat less carbs than weightlifting/powerlifting competitors which means they have less fuel for training.
HEAVIEST LIFTS
Bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman is the bodybuilder largely responsible for making heavy lifting within the bodybuilding fraternity popular. Back in his competion days he famously squatted 800lbs (364kg's) for 2 reps and now the 800lbs mark has subconsciously become a benchmark of what we perceive as the peak/limit of a bodybuilders strength.
How close can Muzi get to squatting 800lbs???
