Egyptian Mohammed Shaaban places 2nd at California PRO

Having had a long off season and competing in his first bodybuilding show of the year, Mohammed Shaaban took 2nd place at then California Pro on Saturday 28 March.

It was a closely fought contest which ended with a poseoff between the Egyptian and Charles Griffen. The American got the nod from the judge's and just edged it on points which means he will qualify for Mr Olympia 2022 while Shaaban needs to compete again if he has any aspirations of gracing the biggest stage.

A slightly disappointed Shaaban had this to say after his performance:
