Why you should do dumbell Sumo Squats - Miguel Capoeira

Sumo squats are important in making your legs look wider and more complete from the front, but how?

While a traditional squats keep your stance closer and feet pointing straight ahead, sumo squats require a wider stance with your feet pointed outward. Difference in foot placement when doing a squat makes you place a different load on the legs resulting in you stimulating different muscles to push up and down.

While traditional squats recruit more of your quadriceps muscles sumo squats recruit more abductors, hipflexors and vastus medialls (inner quadriceps).
