Muz Monster rises to the occasion to place 2nd in Brazil On debut

Making his long awaited Pro debut, South African IFBB Pro bodybuilder Muzi Maluleke produced a specacular performance to place 2nd at the Expo Super Show in Brazil.

Muzi hadn't competed since turning pro prior to when the rona hit. Once it did hit many countries put in places regulations which made it almost impossible for South Africans to travel there: the Pro bodybuilders from Mzansi took a big hit.

Once you turn Pro, you're no longer allowed to compete at local amateur shows as you are now overqualified for that level. This means to compete you need to travel out of Africa and compete at IFBB sanctioned events.

The wait was certainly worth it!

This morning we saw a dream realized. A normal dude from Soweto introduce himself the the world and leave a mark on an international stage. I imagine a young 22 year old Muzi was in gym imagining and visualizing days like this.

The Muz Monster made the first 4 man callout. He then was called out with Jafar Ghaffarnezhad to battle it out for top spot and Olympia 2022 qualification.

Jafar got the nod from the judges with our boy getting a close second.

As you can see from the pictures there was very little to choose between the two and on another day infront of a different set of judges Muzi could very well have won.
