Nicolaas Du Preez Wins Elite RAW CROWN👑. Powerlifting Results May 2022
Elite Raw Powerlifting event has come and gone and the winners are in.
Strongman Nicolaas Du Preez won the OPENS MENS division in a performance which included some impressive lifts.
BREAKDOWN
Squat - 430kg on his 3rd attempt . He revealed that during the squat he also tore his vastus medialis / teardrop muscle but It didn't hit him untill deadlifts started

Benchpress - 237.5kg. 2nd attempt. His bum lifted off the bench with his third attempt at 245kg (which disqualified that lift)

Deadlift - 370kg. Opener. He chose 400kg as his 2nd attempt. But the quad tear made proper legdrive really difficult.
Post the competition the strongman mentioned: "Also tore a lot of skin off both hands, so lockout was soft and premature. I know 400+ is there at the next comp. I do need to invest more time on keeping my hands tough"
