Meet Blessing Awodibu. Bodybuilding's newest superstar
Blessing Awodibu is the talk of the bodybuilding streets. He got his first ever PRO show win at INDY, won the New York Pro ring a week later, then went on to call out Nick Walker out in the aftermath. He's now taken to Instagram to share a picture of himself before the stardom, before the lights, before he became the infamous Boogieman.
If you follow Blessing on social media you would see that he really is a bodybuilding superstar. Long gone are the days when all bodybuilders would post on social media is videos forcefeeding themselves chicken&rice and lifting weights screaming 'lightweight baby'.
These guys now have brands behind them which they need to push so they must be relatable and post relatable content. None are better than that than The Boogieman who boasts a whopping 1.8 Million followers which is plenty considering he wasn't a considered a top tier bodybuilder until a few weeks ago.
It wasn't always like this for him though, Blessing has gone on record to detail just how hard it was for him in the early days trying to be a bodybuilder and trying to make it in the sport.
He posted the a picture of himself in 2012 side -by-side with one fromnthe N.Y. Pro 2022 captioned it as follows:
From not having enough money to afford training gloves to becoming the king of NYš. All you need is a dream, on your way up you will be judged & criticised. They will try to deter you from your dreams & goals. You will fail many times and you will encounter many ups and downs but that’s ok. You should expect those things when you’re trying to achieve what others think is impossible.
The Boogieman further wrote:
Getting through all these obstacles on your way up is what will make you who you are and give you a story to tell to inspire others to live their life and chase their dreams.Remember you’re writing a book, the book of life and it’s not about the beginning it’s about the journey and how you end it!
