It's only a matter of time for Marcia Ngubane

Sometimes in life you just back a horse.

I'm saying this: South African wellness bodybuilder Marcia Ngubane will not only most likely win SA's later this year but I'll go one further and say she turns Pro by 2024.

By 2024 or - ok: by 2025 at the very latest Marcia will turn Pro. No cap.

Not a single doubt in my mind that if she manages to make minor improvements here and there it's inevitable. Provided she's not off, and the judges are sober minded on the day - that oversized purple card is riding home with her.

You'll never hear Marcia talking big though which is good coz being down earth will serve her well. She's actually a very humble person, doesn't raas too much and is solely fixated on putting work in.

In terms of placing I'm aiming on doing my best. I dont like attention around me or talking so I rather let my work do my talking for me. - MN Ngubane

I'm not adding uneccessarry pressure, just letting yall know whats about to happen thats all.

When it comes to bodybuilding not everyone is equal, genetics play a major part! And by now we have figured out how the genetics gods roll, at birth they show favour to some, never get to know the names of others.

She most notably  possess quintessential wellness features with the package she presents. Her muscle bellies are very round which gives her an significant advantage over women with flatter muscle bellies.

Tall, has developed separated abs without them appearing too dry, wide hips, legs have to quads sweeps from the front and rear, skin is smooth with standout glutes. Once Marcia the hamstrings and adductors get on par with the rest of her lower body I don't see how she won't dominate SA.

What is Wellness?

Wellness is a fairly new division in the IFBB which was only introduced in 2016. It's become so popular so quick because it encourages larger hips and bums which in modern society those have become body goals for many women. Wellness competitors are pleasing to look it even for non bodybuilding fans.

This is how the IFBB describe it on their website:

The wellness fitness division is intended for women who prefer a muscular physique without muscle separation and who wish to be athletic and aesthetically pleasing, with a bigger body mass than in bikini fitness. Vertical proportions - legs to upper-body length - is one of the key factors. Horizontal proportions of hips and waist to shoulder width may favour women with slightly bigger hips, thighs and buttocks.

2 weeks out of competing in Umthatha, 23 July is the date and everything is on track.

Prep is going well. The goal this time was to be stage ready at 4 weeks out and we did that. Staying low key working on improving my package everyday. - MN Ngubane
