Vanessa de Freitas Stages Impressive Comeback at 2026 Patriots Challenge

Her performance not only reaffirmed her place among the elite but also signalled a promising new chapter in her competitive career.

This marked de Freitas's first appearance since her debut at the 2020 Spain Europa Pro, where she placed 7th. With an average of 7.5 across her two pro shows, she now ranks second among South African IFBB Pros, trailing only Monique Jansen Van Vuuren, who holds a 5.0 average.

The quality of her preparation was , bolstered by a formidable team. Her contest prep was overseen by Angelica Teixeira, a two-time Ms. Olympia, while her posing was refined under the guidance of Kristina Nicole. In the lead-up to the event, she was also seen training with renowned coach Milos Sarcev. Her public relations were managed by her husband, Matt Daniels, co-host of the Culter Cast alongside Jay Cutler. Her custom bikini, crafted by Suits You Comp, completed her polished stage presentation.

In her post-show remarks, de Freitas expressed profound satisfaction with the package she brought to the stage.

"Every early morning, every cardio session, every workout, every meal, and every sacrifice was so worth it," she reflected. She extended heartfelt gratitude to her husband for his unwavering support, to her coach Angelica—whom she affectionately called "IrmĆ£"—and to her posing coach and suit designers for their contributions to her success.

Rather than dwelling on the result, de Freitas walked away with a sense of  fulfilment, eager to celebrate the moment before setting her sights on her next goal. With this comeback, she has firmly re-established herself as a formidable contender on the international stage, and the bodybuilding community will undoubtedly be watching her next move with great interest.
