Nkululeko Cele: South Africa's Finest Ready for Battle at the Musclecontest Brazil Pro Qualifier

Bayanda Cele stands on the brink of one of the most significant moments in his career. He is ready to compete at the Musclecontest Brazil Pro Qualifier, a prestigious event that will take place in Curitiba from July 17 to 19, 2026, as part of the official NPC / IFBB Pro League calendar.

This show is the gateway to professional status - a pro qualifier. It is only at a pro qualifier that amateur champions earn their IFBB Pro Card, the ticket that transforms a dedicated athlete into a professional bodybuilder, opening the door to compete on the world's biggest stages,

Friday, July 17, is reserved for athlete weigh-ins, while the professional athletes in the Classic Physique and Figure categories take the stage on Saturday, July 18. Bayanda will be part of this elite group, showcasing a physique built through countless early mornings, relentless training sessions, and meticulous nutritional discipline.

Bayanda Cele's journey is one of persistence and passion. Hailing from the rural area of Embo near Hillcrest, his love for the sport began at the age of five and was cemented by the time he was 12, lifting weights with older boys. He has faced and overcome significant hurdles, including being denied the chance to compete at a world championship due to complex federation rules in 2019. Yet, he never stopped pushing.

His team, Maddog Health & Wellness, captured the essence of his quest perfectly: "Success in bodybuilding isn't given, it is earned... Bayanda continues to embody what it means to pursue excellence without compromise." As he steps onto the stage in Brazil, he carries the hopes of South Africa, ready to prove that his dedication is destined for greatness.

Go make South Africa proud, Bayanda!
