Ulricha Blom Makes History with Silver at NZ Figure Pro

Auckland, New Zealand — South African Figure athlete Ulricha Blom has achieved the highest-ever placing by a South African in IFBB Pro League Figure competition, claiming second place at the NZ Figure Pro.

Blom earned her IFBB Pro card in 2023 after winning the NPC Worldwide African Pro Qualifier. Her professional debut at the 2024 AGP Pro All Stars resulted in a twelfth-place finish, making her leap to runner-up at only her second pro show a remarkable improvement.

Not me, but God 💜 Super stoked with what went down today. You bet Im coming for it ⭕️. JP Thank you for your unwavering belief and support since day 1 - having you as my coach is the biggest blessing!!

This result surpasses the previous South African benchmark of fourth place, set by Ashleigh Sherwood at the New York Pro and Pittsburgh Pro earlier this season. Ulrichas silver medal now stands as the new standard for South African Figure athletes in the IFBB Pro league. Coach JP Hoon has got a star on is hands, and when I look at the hundreds of athletes in the Hoonsquad, one could argue that this result propels her to being on of the faces of the team. She's knocking on the door of Olympia qualification.
